I went to the local show looking for a stripped lower and parts kit for a plane jane 20" LW build, and ACE AK folder. No luck on the AK stock, but I did buy a Stag Arms factory assembled complete lower with 6 position stock. I checked out lowers from RRA, Doublestar, and Armalite, but the Stag lower seemed to have the best machining, higher quality parts, and the best trigger of the bunch. I think it will feel right at home under my slick side 20" upper. The only other things I got were some commie SKS ammo rigs for $9, and a GLOCK T-shirt.

The hardest thing to pass up was an unfired NIB 2nd Gen GLOCK 20 with 2-15 round mags for $525.

Anyone else like the Stag lowers?

Anyone else find any funshow treasures?

IIRC, they make all of RRA's lowers.

I've heard others around here say that Stag was up there in quality with Bushy, RRA & Colt.  No personal experience with them, but it's what I've heard around here.

I don't see many A1 uppers anymore.

This one isn't even an A1, but a slick side Colt M16 upper with no brass deflector or forward assist. It was perfect for this rifle, becuase I wanted to build a 20" and keep it as light as possible. Although it's 30 years old, the upper is in great condition, with only slight wear from being stacked in a crate with others. I bought the complete upper minus the b/bc/ch a while back for $160 shipped.
