I am trying to find more info on the Panther 2000V radio.  All the information I have is that it is a Frequency Hopping radio in VHF, designed for military use.  Searches on the net have proven fruitless for me.  I am also interested in info from anyone with experiance with the british PRC-351/352 in manpack configuration.  Can it be easily adapted to go in my POV?  I am thinking about getting one for my jeep soon to be turned dune buggy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What is it that you want?  Legal civilian communications equipment?  Do you want to use it in the amateur radio bands?

Not sure what your'e asking here...

I would get a license for the VHF band, all I really would like is more info on those specific radios.  A certain company is trying to give me a sales pitch on one of those two models.  One has freq hopping (something I like very much) and one does not.  But what about the specs on them?  I know Racal is the name of the company that makes the Panther, but I cannot seem to find their website or info on the panther.

so are you gonna be running a network of these radios?  If not, frequency hopping may be a moot point.  I've never used those, but I'll see what I may be able to dig up.

Unlicensed operation on military frequencies...

This should get interesting...

I am guessing that since you need to ask, you not only can't afford it, but wouldn't be licensed to use it.
