Does anyone have any recommendations? I'd prefer not to have to buy Quicken and was hoping there was a decent, free, money management software.

Anyone know of any?

I'd be all over that like a fly on shit but the campus has blocked any form of file-sharing.....

In all seriousness, I think  your best bet would be to check out www.tucows.com and search through their archive.  That site is a good source for freeware/shareware software, and you ought to be able to find what you are looking for there.

Dude ... if you don't have the 30 bucks to pay for Quicken Basic, then you don't have enough money to be worth managing.

I'm cheap, sue me. The cheapest version of Quicken I could find on their website was $59.95, not $30.

Well, I did find Quicken Basic for $30. But Quicken doesn't allow you to download it from their site.

Anyone with BitTorrent that works want to help a fellow ARFCOMer out?

I think I'm going to just have to break down and buy Quicken it looks like.....ah well, it'll help in the future I suppose.

Probably no help if you're tied to Windows (which it sounds like you are) but they are options...

Well, just bought Quicken online and put in all the account info and spending info I've had since December. It's a real eye-opener how much has gone to stupid crap like fast food or buying a DVD every now and then.

Really pisses me off how stupid I've been with some money .

At least now I know and can fix that up.

That was probably a pretty good move.  Quicken does a good job for managing money, but it's useless for managing monkeys.

If your looking for a great way to budget and get you finances on track al I have to say is"DAVE RAMSEY RULES"
DAVERAMSEY.COM
I've seen him in person 4 times and listen to his radio show on a regular basis.
His program isnt free but its very reasonable and its something you can stick with for the rest of your life.
We have paid off about $60,000 in debt in the last 5 years with his program.

There's no point.  A monkey with money will just blow it on the lottery.
