Capitol Police is now finally switched. Started the first day of a week long course for M4 training. Finally leaving the G36 for the M4. |
they do have semi G-36, available up north in Canada... They can't get into the U.S. because of the import ban... Thanks George Bush Senior!!! |
Link? I've never heard of such a thing. |
I don't blame them for not doing it. They've been burned by congress enough times banning their .mil derived civie rifles that if I was concerned with keeping my company afloat I wouldn't spend the money either. |
Shhhh...I don't want logical answers to this. I just want my UMP and G36 clones dammit! |
5 C's and 5 K's IIRC www.freedomventures.ca/HKG36.htm www.freedomventures.ca/Freedomrestricted.htm |
I'll be damned..... |
News flash! The Nazi regime was defeated 60 years ago. You might want to read the news more often. That being said I would much prefer the US government to spend money in America rather than Germany. |
IIRC aren't they only allowed to have 5 round mags or 10 round mags? |
No M4s are made in the US by an American Company (Colt)
Not till the Colt Sole Source contract runs out in 2011 or thereabouts. |
I thought it had something to do with the feed ramps too? |
Nope that is wrong. Colt has exclusive rights to the M4 contracts for the DOD. |
I think you can cut your feed ramps however you want, as long as you don't call it anything like 'M4' when you sell it. |
They have the feed ramps in them. I don't know what they call them, but they are there.
|
Sheesh, pretty arrogant for someone who doesn't know what they are talking about. Colt has the exclusive M4 manufacturing rights for the US military. |
The capital police/secret service are not part of the DOD. |
Don't sweat, buddy.. was merely taking a shot at Colt's legal antics over the M4 designation, not talking about anyone else making them for .mil |
Other than that nothing.
