Here is an article that I saw concerning the Chinese build-up. While there has been debate on wether or not we big ticket items in the budget (ie F-22) and some other things, the Chinese aren't waiting.

I don't know if they are bluffing or not but I think that they will go to war with the USA over the issue of Taiwan. But the USA can cut those folks off at the knees, but just getting Wall-Mart, Target, etc to stop buy their stuff.

Their tactics and hardware are being developed with an eye toward us.

Especially when it comes to our carriers.

They figure if we came to Taiwan's aid, all it would take is sinking a carrier with 5- or 6,000 men on it to make us go home.

We could probably sink half their fleet with tomohawk missiles from long distance. What the missiles don't sink, our aircraft and submarines will.
