How good is yours? Do you write well enough so that others can read it, or are you constantly wondering what the hell you just committed to paper? When I was younger, I was quite good at cursive. Once I got out of school and didn't have to write nearly as much, my cursive skills started a huge decline. I tried to write a paragraph using cursive last week and could barely read it. You should see my signature. Looks like chicken scratching. Printing, on the other hand, I'm still quite good at. I guess it comes from having to write 2-3 pages a night at work. |

Mine is so bad I can barely read it myself. This may have been a good thing. Way back in the summer of 1970 my mom put me in a typing class in summer school. I learned to type quickly and accurately. That came in very handy in college, and later when I started working with computers. |

You must be one of those fellas they talk about in the TEAM Forum with the "stupid" posts. Ya got some real winners here: www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=342237 www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=342226 www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=342220 www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=342202 and that's just the last 24 hours. If I couldn't post anything more relevant or informative than this crap, I'd go away, and never be missed..... Mike |
Typing class is the single, most important class I ever took in high school. Although Writing is sort of like art. I can't draw wortha crap or write worth a crap. I must print anything I write just so other people can read it. |
| Horrible. I'm a transactional lawyer, and I do a lot of document mark-up. My poor secretary. It really bothers her that she has so much trouble reading my writing although she's better at it than any other secretary I've had in the last 12 years. If I take my time and print, its fine; cursive is a nightmare - its hard to even tell how many letters there are much less what they spell. |
| I'm a nurse so I practically "write" for a living....on top of that I'm dexlexic, spell by phonics, and never could grasp grammer rules, and really never learned cursive. I print everything and sometimes even mess up my name when when I try to write legably on legal docs.... |
| Well my normal handwriting looks something like a script, but the more hurried i get the more it slants and the more letters disappear. But somehow people can read it when it takes me a few minutes to figure out what i just wrote. When i handwrite papers for school I have to block print most of the time so I know the prof can read it. |

I’m an aircraft mechanic for the airlines so I do quite a bit of writing that gets seen by a lot of people. I’ve always been noted as having good hand writing,, which I think is a good indicator of a persons attitude towards their work. I signed off a log book entry one day at work and returned the log book to the Cpt. to let him know the aircraft was good and that they could board the passengers. He opens the log book to see what work was performed and when he saw my hand writing asked me since when did we have a female mechanic working for us! I’m used to it now everyone says “Quib, you write like a girl!” |

I write really fast so its pretty illegible. It's funny, I was just thinking about this the other day. Back in my younger days, as punishment, my teachers would make me copy the dictionary before I could go out to recess. So I just got into the habit of writing as fast as I could. All work and no play... All work and no play... All work and no play... All work and no play... etc.... I like how girls write. All those big, round, slow curves. You can tell a lot about a person by their handwriting. |

well since you asked, my penmanship isn't really that bad. I got an F in penmanship when I was in the 5th grade which made my mother cry so I practiced and got it half decent. I started out as a lefty but thanks to yard stick therapy by some well meaning nuns, I'm a right hander now. Patty |
