Where I live, north-northwest of Tucson, we're now seeing much heavier activity. I believe the illegals are diverting west and east of Cochise county and coming up via those routes. On Friday, I spotted 5 in the brush near the road in the morning - called the USBP. Friday night, a brush fire was started by illegals camping at the end of a road towards my house - they fled in a likely stolen van (spotted by neighbor) before the firetruck finally got there. Friday during the day, two separate neighbors chased off illegals trying to steal their horses. |
You don't suppose Grupo Beta and/or the Mex Military are shuttling them there do ya? |
If I were to guess, I'd say thats exactly whats happening. |

My brother lives south east of Tucson - he told me they've seen an increase as well. He and his wife are armed at all times and take AR's with them when they leave the house in case they come home to unwanted visiters. They fortified their house with heavy steel doors and window bars, and he bought some night vision equipment so he can keep an eye on them at night. When they first bought the property they rarely even locked the doors. This shit has to stop!

I hope the MM project spreads to other border towns. I wish however they would change their name to something like, "Citizens Crimewatch" or something like that. It would play better in the media. The Minuteman project sounds too militia in nature to the masses and has some negative connotations to it. If there were several, they could refer to themselves as a "Network of Citizens Watch Groups." |

It has, but for different reasons, IMO. The numbers of MM present is not that substantial, but the psychological impact is significant, due to the heavy press coverage on both side if the border. U.S. law enforcement presence in the southeast AZ is far greater than normal, as is the corrosponding Grupo Beta and Mexican military on the other side of the fence. The Mexican presence isn't as easy to guage, as they aren't within eyesight of the fence in most cases. |
I wonder if GWB gives a fuck? ![]() |
