| poll coming |
Sure do. This isn't scientific in any sense of the word. I am just trying to see if anyone supports dry counties. |
I wanted to say that...but sometimes cant think of how to put it...very well done....I agree |
IF that were your agenda (it ain't) you should have had a "Yes / No" poll. Not a "I'm an idiot who hates freedom and I'm for dry counties" vs. "I'm a great defender of the COnstitution and I'm for sensible drinking" poll. Dude....youa re SOOO transparent. ![]() |
Thank you. I knew exactly what I was doing. If anyone is stupid enough to be affected by how a worded the poll they deserve to be duped. What is your opinion of dry counties, garandman? |
Why are you so against people making up their own minds for the type of town they want to live in?? Can't you just MOVE somehwere that has all the booze and porn you can't live without??? ![]() DOes EVERY town in AMerica gotta support your lifestyle??? Freedom, my fat @$$. Yer a tyrant. |
So you do support dry counties? |
Actually, I'd like to know what your views are, and a few of your reasons. If you favor the idea of dry counties, I might be in a debating mood. |
I am. That is why I am against dry counties. I don't think any majority has the right to enforce its will upon a minority. Whatever happens on private property is that property owners business. |
And you Texans keep telling me you are free.... ![]() I don't even think we have a single dry county in California. Sgatr15 |
Isn't a wet county the majority forcing its opinion?? Against the people who want a dry county?? Holy crap you are dumb as a bag of rocks. |
No, because no one is forcing them to drink the alcohol. In your view it would be okay to have certain states that outlawed gun ownership, because we wouldn't want to force our opinion down their throats. |
I'll add to that: I can't buy a bottle of scotch at the gas station or the supermarket in this state, I've noticed. I have to go to a "State store". Lame. I'm suprised I can buy liquor without a permit. |
Dry counties are about the places of public access - people that don't want to have to step over a drunk while going to a movie, or have a titty bar build next to their church
When you can show me Jack Damiels in teh BoR or the Constitution (like 2A is) , come back and we'll talk. Till then, yer an idiot. |
Not all rights are outlined in the BoR. There are little things called the 9th and 10th amendments. |
You must've gotten one of those brain hiccups. Not restricting something isn't forcing an opinion. |
Yup. Its called a democratic republic, and capitalism. I have no problem with either. You got a problem with ANYONE that gets between you and pron and booze, apparently. |
Sure as hell do. Although I am not a big fan of pron, I do not care if anyone else likes it. |
Sure it is. NOT restricting alcohol sales FORCES people to have to walk around the town drunk on their way to the grocery store. It forces people to have to deal with the corruption and sleeze of the local bars and night clubs. EVERy law / policy forces something on someone. Lightweight. ![]() |
10 people want to be left alone 11 people want to bug the ten people the 11 people force their idea of bugging them unto the 10 11 people want to be left alone 10 people want to bug them the 11 people force their idea to be left alone unto the 10 |
You obviously do not understand the concept of private property.
|
And there ya have it. Against the democratic republic we live in. Then I gotta guess yer NOT for 2A out of principle - simply that you like guns, and therefore you will FORCE everyone to have to put up with your guns NOT because you believe in the Democratic republic, but SIMPLY cuz you want to have your own selfish way. |
Imagine: Everything is free to practice. You have a choice. Someone coming in and restricting your choices is anti-freedom. Featherweight!
|
You obviously don't under stand the simple logistics of living in society, and policy setting. EVERY law / policy forces something on someone - even laws allowing alcohol. Property rights are NOT absolute. |
I do not know what you are smoking tonight. I believe in property rights. If you want to sell alcohol on your property you should have the right to do so. If you want to have a gun on your property you should have the right to do so. In that sense I do have principles. If you don't want to have either on your property you have the right to not have them, but you do not have the right to tell another person what they can/can't do one their property. |
So speed limits are anti freedom? And laws against nudity are anti freedom. Thank (the deity of your choice) for anti nudity laws (think: Michael Moore) And in your world, those who don't want to have to put up with the town drunk puking in the middle of teh sidewalk are FORCED to put up with it, and THAT is freedom??? Welterweight ![]() |
In a perfect world all property would be privately owned. Therefor the people who owned the roads would set the speed limits. If you wanted to be nude on your property you could. |

|
A "state store" for liquoer? Are you kidding me? In Ohio? What the fuck is that? Free states my ass! You guys are living in the Victorian times. Sgatr15 |
I'm smoking you - at every turn. I ALREADY stated - dry counties are about PLACES OF PUBLIC ACCES. Don't make me repeat myself. They are about a majority of folks who don't want to have to deal with the town drunk puking on the sidewalk. YOU DO NOT HAVE A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO BOOZE. PROPERTY RIGHTS ARE NOT ABSOLUTE is any of this penetrating your Piltdown skull?? DOn't like wher you live? MOVE. Its a big, free country. |
Their are a majority of folks who don't want to have to deal with the town gun nut showing off his new AR-15. PROPERTY RIGHTS ARE NOT ABSOLUTE. YOU HAVE A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS, NOT TO OWN A DEADLY ASSAULT WEAPON. Don't like where you live? Move. Its a big, free country. |
So youa re an antinomian. You are an anarchist - no gov't. Newsflash McFly - this world ain't your vision of perfect. There ARE laws, and SOME PEOPLE don't want to have to deal with the town drunk grabassing their duaghters on the sidewalk. In a perfect world, I could shoot the town drunk and be done with it. But then in a perfect world, people would NOT GET drunk, and show a little freaking moderation and self control. |
I am not an anarchist, I am a Randian. HUGE difference. |
You got like a 15 second attention span. What did I tell you about making me havie to repeat myself?? Firearms are COnstitutionally protected. Booze is not. QUIT IT with the illegitimate comparisons, dullard. |
Pretty pointless if you ask me.
