Not sure if this topic has ever come up here, but it's come up on another forum I go to a couple of times and it's usually pretty funny, so I thought I would start one here, post about the dumbest people you've encountered while at the range, I haven't seen many but one comes to mind, it was the RSO, he INSISTED that 7.62x54R was a NON-RIMMED cartridge so, then I took one out and showed him, and he still insisted it was non-rimmed even after seeing it, so I just left him to his dillusions and went to set up.... Whatever.... Then again with the same guy, he insists on checking targets before he lets you move to the 100 yard line from the 25 where he will force you to start if you make the mistake of telling him it's a new gun, even if you tell him it's surplus, and was sited at the factory, or has fixed sites doesn't matter well anyway he looks at the targets then says your hitting to high, I tell him thats because the lowest setting on my sights is 200 yards plus, and he's makeing me shoot at 25 so ofcourse it's high, and he insists that it should shoot low as the bullets CLIMB as they go down range (so by his logic bullet drop doesn't exist, and every fired bullet will end up in outer space....), so he refuses to let me go to 100 yards and forces me to go back to 25, little did he know I had another rifle along that was shooting low so I shot that one some, then went back to the RSO, hand him the target, and say that I "fixed it", so he lets me go to 100 yards, so aparently the RSO, whos job it is to observe, didn't even notice I switched rifles.... And they let this guy be an RSO? ....
