Hey everyone, I'm in the Army NG and deployed to the Balkans in an admin type MOS. I'd like to switch to anything else, preferably combat arms, the bullshit and monotony is killing me. I LOVE it here, I just can't stand my MOS, my seargeants said it can't be done, but, "Where there's a will there's a waiver". Do you know anything about switching while deployed? |

You should stay in your admin role and suffer! Kidding. I am not/ was not int he Army. I know when I was in the Marines, people 'lat-moved' after the deployments. It was too much to take #'s away from a deployed command, send someone back home and have him wait on a school seat etc.. I lat moved from the ground to the wing, but they only allowed me to do that after my 1st tour was 6 months from being over. Good luck. |
