added a rail and foreward vertical grip. bipod now mounts on an adapter that can go on the rail. Also painted some of the writing, but the fine point quite wasn't fine enough so I had to wipe the excess and up close there's a little noticable faded out paint around the writing. The close up pic came out really blurry though so it looks a lot worse than it really is, but I'll post it anyway since I put the gun away before checking the pic quality. one of these days I'm going to probably do the writing on my SAR1 too.

where it says "safe" really isn't one big splotch. I think it just reflected the flash really badly right there

now I need a light for the sight post rail and a single point sling adaptor

edit: hmm. close up looks better small, it's a little less blurry. time to change it back

Looks good, but what you REALLY need are QR rings for that scope, a red dot optic (or something for CQB) and a QR mount for that.

all I need to take the scope off is a quarter to fit in the screw slot for leverage
the rings claim they'll hold zero. I plan on testing that next time I take it to the range. also need to make sure the drop it took tonight didn't mess it up. it slipped out of my hand and tipped over and fell about a foot onto the floor

Watch those lights - the ring breaks off after a few months.

only thing is, I did have to take the heat shield out for the nuts to fit in the handguard. they were a touch fatter than the holes and didn't fit flush so they stuck up a tiny bit too far for the heat shield to fit. I'm hoping that won't matter too much
