there some interesting reading in them thar sites thanks . i found a helicopter crash site on top of sonora pass in ca. about 30 years ago , pretty cool.

Actually got to visit Yokoi's cave site when I was in Guam late 90's.  Pretty fascinating to have lived in hiding for almost 30 years.

In the late 40s and early 50s, my Dad was stationed on Guam.  Mom, my sister and my oldest brother were with him there.  One of the things they had to be wary of was Jap holdouts.  The other was left over munitions, especially deeply buried land mines on the beach.  Several were uncovered after a taiphoon.
