I'm a member there just got in this last fall. They've been opening Range 4 (1000yd) more and more now but I haven't had a chance to get down there. I want to take the next RSO class as well that way I can open the range myself etc and I'm not at the mercy of other RSO, and if a few friends of my become RSO we can shoot while the other RSOs. Need to try my wifes .338 LM and .50 at 1K

I qualified as an RSO but was so damn busy with stuff, I never got a chance to open a range before it expired. I plan on qualifying again at some point. The more RSOs, the more likely the ranges will be open. QSC is all volunteer so they need all the help they can get. On the rifle ranges, you'll see a lot of different types of weapons which is cool. Lots of folks will sometimes let you shoot their weapons so you might have a chance to try something new. On Range 4 (1000 yrds) I tried with my AR for the first time (at 1000). Didn't even hit the paper.hinking.gif I'll keep on trying though. There were a couple of guys out with their .50 BMG. One guy had an X and a 10 and something else on a 3 shot group. He was a happy camper! Anyways... I definitely encourage all who live within the area (I think it's a 60 mile radius) to join! Seeya on the range. P.S. I was talking to a buddy in my pool league. He's gone 4 wheeling down there. Evidently, you can tear around the back country down there. Just watch out for tanks coming round the sharp corners! P.S.S. Also, I'm still curious, does anyone else shoot at other MCBs around the country? |
