So I go to my Business Writing class with my liberal professor as usual at a Catholic University. He begins class with an anti-Bush website up on the projector screen, and talks about how the "current Administration" hired a man to pose as a journalist and pose a pro-Bush question. Then he goes on to talk about how this guy is actually a homosexual prostitute, and proceeds to show us this guy's homosexual website with... VERY QUESTIONABLE pictures... no full nudity, but more along the lines of a buff guy lying their naked with a little hat covering his jewels. If my group wasn't depending on me to be there that night to finish up the semester project, I'd have walked out, cause this really pissed me and the guy next to me off. The rest of the class like mindless ignorant zombies just laughed & laughed. The professor loved that, and ended with, "So that's what our current administration is doing," all righteous and proud that he found total proof that he's right and all conservatives are wrong. |
Since I doubt bitching about the guys liberal bent would get any attention, file off a letter to whatever review committees exist at your school, and tell them that such material (the psuedo gay pron) was inappropriate for a business writing class, and perhaps would have been more suitable for an erotic literature discussion group.  "Catholic university"... maybe it offended your sense of moral decency?  [hint hint]

The Jeff Gannon bullshit. I would be fucking OUTRAGED if my professor was dragging stuff like this into an unrelated class, and I would have told him right then and there he was way off base and that I would file complaints about this. The whole Jeff Gannon non-scandal is a pathetic attempt by the Left and the news media to get back at the blogs for taking out Eason Jordan. Remember, if you're paying to go to school, you're the consumer. Complain, complain, COMPLAIN. Bitch and moan to the administration like you've never bitched and moaned before. Most college students I know never look at it this way, but if you're paying THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS of dollars for your education you ought to at least be getting what you paid for, and somehow I think being subjected to DU propaganda during class time is not an official part of your academic curriculum. ETA - Get your folks involved if you can. I know it sucks, but in my going-on six years in private higher education, the value of a well-placed phone call by an angry parent, even if they're not paying the bills, can not be overestimated. Or maybe that's just 'cuz my Dad's an old angry retiree that loves nothing better than to spend all day calling every administration office phone number he can find until he finds someone to bitch at .  You won't likely get the guy fired, especially if he has tenure, but you more than likely will get it to stop. If he doesn't have tenure, and especially if he's an "assistant professor" or lowly "instructor" like they sometimes have teaching freshman and sophomore courses, his ass is grass, and you won't be seeing him 'round for very long, with any luck. |

Today I listened to my US Hist after world war 2 prof state that the Domino theory had no basis in fact. In the same lecture he talked about Indochina.  So after Vietnam fell to the communists, what happened to the bordering nations of southeast asia? Then he blathered on about how great socialist cuba was and how everything would be fine there if it weren't for the US holding it back... Ah the joys of being an undergrad. |
File a complaint. Shove the System that folks the likes of your Professor created right up his ass. What he is doing has NO place in a 'Business Writing' class, and is a complete abuse of you as a Student, the University system employing him, and of his position / power as an |

Dont suggest it but I think I would have gone RLEE on the guy... I just dont undertsand what the point is over some gay reporter. Who gives a fuck? I am working towards my masters at University of Phoenix Online. I like it. The classes are taught by ACTUAL WORKING ADULTS! Their seems to be a ballance of veiw points, as many of the students are military, or mostly working adults. |
This so far over the top, I just don't know what to say We saw naked people in Human Sexuality, IMO its not appropriate anywhere else in school consider going to www.drudgereport.com and let him know about it In my opinion this is no small matter
