I am having a lot of trouble making it through the second ace mission.  It seems like soon as someone spots me I am screwed.  Anyone have a tip that might be useful?

Which ace mission is that,

I'm going after Song now, so I can't remember,

Is it the one where you have to destroy the supergun?

Do you have a Blackhawk drop?

I would recommend filling that bastard up and doing your best to avoid AAA (there's a good bit of it in this map).

Also, I would suggest using GPS-delivered support weapons. You can target further and more easily than smoke and laser. Since you have to destroy so much artillery over such a terrain difference, GPS is much easier to use (and you can target arty that's right above you, that you otherwise wouldn't be able to target).

It's a bitch of a mission, though.

Just have an apc delivered and disguise your way in.  The apc goes through the nbc area too.  You can dodge the first officer by veering right.  Then pick up a tank after the NBC zone.. Get your disguise back.  This is a super easy and quick mission.  5 minutes tops.  I'm about done with my 2nd time through the game.

What I did, was to kill all the guys at the beginning.

Then wither wait or go left and find a tank (or APC, something armored)

then drive somewhere secluded and wait for the disguise to kick in, then you can pretty much go straight to the cannon and use it on the other one.

then its just a pretty striaghtforward capture mission.

Sorry I am not more help but its been a couple of weeks.

I rememeber that using the disguises was key.

Isn't that the one you can call an air strike on or something. I actually hit those from across the canyon.
Even ran out of air strikes and found some rpg's to finish the second one off with. Probably could have saved the money on air strikes.

Just finished it.  I was able to do it by the skin of my teeth.  Ran over the diamond with my tank

Hey man if it works it works.

There has been a couple that I just didn't feel like airlifting out.

The new map is fun as well.  Lots of targets to blow up.

Yes.  It is a ton of fun.

It is interesting. A lot of different targets, weapons, vehicles, and things to do. After a few hours though, it got a bit repetitive to me. No one was in particular tougher to get than another. Just a pain to find. I couldn't figure it out, it just seemed like you stumbled on to each one. The map doesn't show them unless you are close by.
There are a few interesting side things to do to make money. Clearing a factory floor by floor. Racing from one check point to another.
Still could do the bus/taxi picking up passengers. I either wreck or run over one trying to get to the next one in time.

Think of Grand Theft Auto and Halo combined in a war with North Korea.

And, that's a "HELL YES!" to your question.

The best part of GTA  is the overall atmosphere, story, and humor (as well as the gameplay)

The best part of Halo 2 is the xbox live multiplayer. without that its a rental... because of that, I am hopelessly addicted to it
