I have a 99 Grand Cherokee w/4wd and the 4wd does not work. can anyone tell me where I should start , electrical, computer etc.?

my wifes gf has a blazer she just traded for one the $500 computer in the pos chevy made it a 2wd

Take it to Autozone or some other car repair place and see if you are getting any codes on the computer.

Is the 4wd automatic or is it manual (meaning you have to change the locking hubs by turning them?)

Why?  Because the 16 year old kids who have no idea what-so-ever of what they are selling or trying to sell?

I just suggested that to get a loaner scanner and see what, if any, codes are coming down from the computer.

IM the VIN to me. I am at work now & can look @ the build to see which t/case you have.
