I normally sight in my scoped AR's at 100 yards. Don't know why-just always do. Given that I am shooting a 16 inch barrel with 1 in 9 twist using 55 gr ammo. If I am sighted in at 100 yards: Where can I expect the point of impact to be at 100 yards? 200? 300? |

You really ought to know this and the best way is to take your rifle out and see where it shoots. Here's what the computer says based on a 55 grain bullet leaving your barrel at 3240 ft/sec and zeroed at 100 yards. 50=-0.1" 100=0.0 150=-1.2 200=-4.1 250=-9.0 300=16.5 350=-27.0 400=-41.4 |
