I have a 97 GMC Sierra and I cant quite figure out how to adjust the wipers. The right one sits just fine but the left sits about 6 inches high and runs off the window at "full wipe". I tinkered with it for a few minutes today but couldnt exactly figure out how to adjust it back down. Any advice?

On my Ford I loosen the nut holding the wiper on and move to suit, then retighten.

At the bottom is a small clip , take it off and place it on in the position you want it to have.

Thats what i thought i could do too but there is a tiny protrusion that holds it in a certain position. You cant just take it off then put it on at a different angle.

You need to remove the cowl cover. (Black plastic piece at the base of the windshield.)  It comes off with about 8 phillips-head screws that all go straight down.  You'll see the linkage below that and will also see that once pieces are seperated, they can be re-oriented before reassembly.  Oh, and don't forget to hook up the washer hoses prior to putting the cover back on.  Common mistake.
