I never really got it that much before.  Barely noticable inflamations maybe 3 or 4 times in my life.  Now twice in the last 6 months the suckers have poofed out enough to piss me off.

Not enough to constrick breathing, and they do not hurt.  But they are inflamed and I can feel them.

How bad is a tonsillectomy pain and discomfort wise?  How long are you out of work if you have one?

i had a tonsillectomy at 18...i was layed up for 2 weeks, no joke.

The older you get, the more it sucks.

I had mine out-by demand-when I was 15. Up and runing 4 days later, playing soccer (during the winter, in St. Louis) 10 days afterward.

I've had ONE sore throat since then, 3 years ago, and that was caused by a Dorito that scratched my throat on the way down and I got an infection.

Git 'er done. You won't regret it.

HeldHostage just had hers removed.  Last week I think.  You might ask her for a fair assessment.  Keep in mind women are much tougher to pain than men are.

I had mine out at 22. It wasn't so bad, but then again, they did give me lots of drugs.

Had mine out when I turned 2. used to have high fevers and seizures from the fevers up til they were taken out. I was told the first thing I wanted after them being removed was saltine crackers.so they gave them to me

I rarely get sick anymore either. flu, cold, sore throats, etc
Good luck with the removal if you have it done. Ins. should cover it. "should" .
