Ok, I see a lot of phrases and letters used here that I have never seen used on the other forums I visit. So, this thread is for all of you vetran ARFCOM people toexplain these to us noobs. Also, feel free to list some of these that you know. I'll start with a few I've wondered about: +1 dupe IRTL BOTD Also, this would be a good thread to make as a sticky (or whatever you call them here Kris |
| How about this:----------->"Acronyms and Abbreviations in common use on AR15.com" |
|
"+1" means you agree with the person you quoted. "Dupe" means that your topic has already been posted. "BOTD" equals...do a google search on "BOTD" "IBTL" means that the poster is merely increasing his post count by posting in a thread that will soon be locked due to it's content - IBTL = In Before The Lock. |
Or you could just take this man's advice and follow the link to a thread where everything is explained. |
+1, You agree with wathever they said. dupe, Meaning it has been posted before. IRTL, In before the lock. Don't know about the r it's usually IBTL BOTD, Be on the Defensive. In other words Warning your going to see porn or something very cool, or it could mean babe of the day or anything of the day. There was a whole page on this somewhere I'll do a couple of searches and see if I can find it. edit to add: 82ndAbn beat me to it to slow in typing |
