Just found a shitload of Adware right after  both Spybot and Adaware pronounced my system clean and adware free!

Just a heads up for you guys!

Well I hate to tell you, but this ain't nothing new.  Adaware and Spybot can't catch them all, I don't believe ANY one program and do that.  That's why I have 5 or 6 of them, and even then they can't catch the new ones.

I'm not talking a couple that the other two missed.

I mean over 120 (122 or 127 I forget)

Not only is my computer running faster offline but I downloaded the before and after Tsunami pics like I was on broadband.

This machine was clogged up BAD! And Spybot and Adaware both said it was clean and spyware free!

Spysweeper is free for 30 days.

I use spysweeper, adaware, spybot:seek and destroy, AntiVir, and microsoft's adware sweeper.  Yes, use all of them, each catches stuff the others miss.  Clear out the cookies from your browser before running them, cookies are 90% of the "spyware" on your pc.

I use Spysweeper, and I run a sweep every night.  Combined with the firewall and virus protection, I have relatively few problems.  <knocks on wood>

eta:  Stay off the free porn sites...you'll find LOTS less spyware infesting your system.

I've had SS for about 4 months, still running OK.

I also run about 5-6 to keep my PC clean: Ad-Aware, S&D, Stinger, CWShredder, SS, Microsoft's new spyware program, Window Washer and a couple of others.

Thanks for the "cookie" tip.

Thanks,

Merlin
