recently windows did a update on my computer now adobe reader 6.0 pro wont work. It trys to load but then adobe will freeze up.

I tried to down load the 6.0 version but that wont work either? should I delete it all and try to
re-install reader??

Get the latest version 7.0 and give that a try.

You may have to clean it out of registry, too, before doing a fresh install.

im no expert but make sure your system can support 7.0 maybe thats why you are running into problems trying to switch to 7.0

First do a registry backup.

Uninstall Adobe via the Add/Remove in Control Panel.

Start, Run, type in regedit.  F3 and type in adobe.  

This will search and find all references to Adobe.  You will have to delete them.

Then reinstall Adobe.

thanks for the help, when i did that it shows a "AB (default)  file?
i take it thats the one i should delete?

There should be a lot of Adobe registry keys, just keep hitting F3.
