.....O'Tay This is a total LACK of control: lookout !!! lookout !!! 2 You just have to love the Austrians and their awesome plastic hardware. |
Nice G18. I want one of those too |
Well, if the sound of a shotgun being racked will scare a burglar into retreat, I figure the slide of a G18 should produce similar if not better results. . .

Aug's are pretty cool, Ive handled one and the neat thing about em is they come apart just about without any tools, and the can be either left or right hand shooters. even the ejection port can switch sides. Now the G18 is just awsome, I would use it for vechicle defense. Anyone comes to the window and you dont want em there, very handy. |

Sorry, guys, no vid, but as a former Kiwi Army soldier I can testify that the Steyr is quite a good bit of kit. It was introduced into the NZ and Aussie Armies about 1990 and went through a few teething problems, most notably with the crappy Australian license built version. Since then though, its been used in a lot of theatres, including Bosnia, east Timor, Afghanistan and Iraq, and its performed well. It has its fans and its detractors, and these days I have experience in a few other systems so I have a better basis for comparisons. The Steyr was pretty revolutionary in its day, but give me a nice wee M4 shorty or a SIG 552 like we are using over here any day. Always remember the long haired blondie in 'Die Hard' pulling one out of his bag...magazine already on and then sliding the receiver down. "Nobody kills him but me!" Anyway, FWIW... |
