Makes sense to me. MDMA has amazing psychotherapeutic potential.  It would be especially powerful on the cusp of dying, a nice way to appreciate and reflect on life with your loved ones.

Oh goody.  A whole new demographic for Uncle Sugar to cram into the WOD machine:  Terminally ill cancer patients with days left on their lives.

Maybe they can go after the surviving family to pay for the fines of these crazed hop heads!

As far as I'm concerned, cancer patients can have crack-cocaine milkshakes if they need them to feel better.

Actually, if I read the article correctly, the FDA is sanctioning the tests.
