I've been using the new Gmail pop3 access since they started offering it.  All of a sudden since about 2 days ago, it wont except my password through pop3 access.  It says it's incorrect.  I can log-in just fine via their web page.  I've checked and double checked all my settings(including the activation of pop3 access from their web site), username and password and everything is correct.  I mean, it worked fine just a few days ago.  I'm using Thunderbird as my email client, but checked it with Outlook Express.  I also use a anti-SPAM program(Mailwasher Pro) and it could no longer log-in either.

Is anyone else who uses Gmail pop3 access having this problem?

That's not reassuring to me.    Thanks for the reply though.

Wow.  I never knew they had free POP3.  Can this be used to delete old email from your mailbox, or does it just make copies?

I'll be surprised if you can delete ... gmail's "thing" seems to be getting you to archive your messages.

If you set it up that way, you can have it delete them.

BTW, it's working again as of this morning.  I didn't change anything, so I know it was Gmail having problems.  I guess they are still working all the bugs out.  It's a free service(for now), so I really shouldn't complain.
