When I was over in Saudi Arabia a guy in the squadron got bit near the nether regions (actually inside upper leg), he wound up being medevaced out because of the infection to his leg.  Some serious shit man.

Dupe. Try looking at the hand holding the spiders....on the very right of the photo. They're only about 2-3 inches long.

Try snopes before you post this retarded sh*t again.

Most of the stuff said about those critters is pure bullshit.  That web site is a joke.  True, they are real.  True, they can bite the fuck out of you.  No they can't run 25 mph, jump several feet in the air or eat a horse.  They aren't even spiders, much less poisonous.  Just about any insect that bits or stings can give you a nasty infection.  Consider the kind of nasty places insect and spiders hang out and things they eat.  Most of the stories about that thing are friend of a friend of a friend tales or just plain crap.  Don't be gullible.

Tolerance of others is difficult to learn, but easy to teach.

Sounds like a load of bullshit to me. I have seen that photo for aboua year now and I can't help but to think its photochopped.  I doubt there are spiders that big still left.

Put a pack on one and teach it to follow you around.  Voila, instant ammo carrier.

Thank you for quoting me. By the way, that's an original line, so if you use it elsewhere, be sure I get credit for it.

Just because it's my sig line, doesn't mean I have tolerance.

Even non-paying members have access to the search button. A topic a few weeks back about this very same picture was brought up. Try searching before you inquire about "buying" camel spiders. The picture is a camera trick, those insects are actually very small in that photo, they just happen to be close to the camera. It's all about perspective.

the real name is "solepug" they are known as sun spiders. they live in Utah, Nevada, and Arizona as well as other places here in the U.S. their mandibles are the strongest of any creature (proportionately). they kill and eat scorpions, centipedes, large spiders, small rodents, etc.

Nothing like another nuisance with his panties in a bunch.  Unfortunately, the Search function doesn't work in GD for non-"team" members, all knowing L_D.  Here's some more retarded shit to piss your sorry, humorless ass off -  home.global.co.za/~quagga/solpugid.htm .  www.enhg.org/b/b16/16_25.htm

I'd like to take a shot at one with a .22 rimfire (a camel spider, not a Texan).

Back in Saudi we used to catch them and put em together with a scorpian and watch them go at it.

2 bugs enter, 1 bug leaves.
