When it gets that cold I usually duct tape a six pack to grandpa's walker and send him out to get the mail.  In 20 mins, you got cold beer, your mail, and gramps sits quietly to thaw out for an hour or two.

Take thier teeth out first, dentures chattering drowns out the TV.

I'm in Mount Pleasant and my thermometer is showing 20* right now... and I still haven't turned on the heat this year.  I used to live in Pinellas County in Seminole and on Mad Beach and always watching how excited everyone got when the temperature was going to drop into the 30's...

I like cold weather. Of course the term "cold" is relative. People here in MS think it's cold when it's 50 degrees F. I like it when it's in the 20s, and that's not often down here.

Agree, its a stupid warning for I know for a fact people in FL pull their winter coats out and sweaters when the temperature reaches 50.

Yeah, I just moved to GA after having been brought up in N. WI...  I got a good laugh today as there were signs up in front of my condo community warning residents (in BIG bold red letters) that a "FREEZE WARNING" had been issued and that everyone should let their faucets drip and make sure their cupboards were open to let warm air get to the pipes...

Now...if this were WI in the middle of Jan and it was -20 or -30...I say, sure.  BUT COME ON PEOPLE!!!!  IT is barely dipping below 32 here at night!

Anyway...

I may like cold weather, but weather is meant to be an OUTSIDE occurance.  I want to be able to walk around in my undies no matter the outside temp, while in my house.

It's gotten a little breezy here today...high only in the 30s, lows tonight in the low 20s, and that's in town...always a degree or 2 colder out here in the 'burbs.

I'm not happy about having to run the damn heat, but even I can't hang when it's below 55 in the house.

I know how it is for you southerners.

Went out to meet the wifes family 11/01 (yes we flew)  Well one morning it was 40deg windy and a drizzle was comming down at the beach house.

I walked right past them out the sliding door and lit a smoke. I was wearing socks, PJ shorts and a t-shirt.

Wife said they thought i was crazy.    She said no he's not crazy he's climitized,  It's gets alot colder in Iowa then it does here in delaware.

I haven't broke out my winter coat yet.  The temps are getting close tho.

7 am here in Blackburg, VA and a balmy 16 degrees.  I hate cold weather.  The arthritic knees and feet start hurting.  Hunting season is pretty much over, can't fish or play golf.  If it wasn't that this time of the year is when I make the most money, it would have no redeaming value.
