Is this like one of those "We send you unsolicited goods and charge you exorbitant prices unless you send them back" type things?

I received it, to.  They are very up front and say that the recipient is under no obligation to return the tape or the accompanying medallion.

Everything on earth takes money.  I hope this nets the NRA some money.

I never returned it....

They stopped asking for it back...

I got one a while back. They send me a notice every couple of weeks. It kind of pisses me off that they sent it in the first place. I didn't want it and I don't want to pay for it either. There are better ways to get my money.

Got it.
Didn't read the letter.
Got a bill. Got another tape.

Wrote Return to Sender on the second tape. Put it back in the mail.
Haven't watched it.
Haven't heard from them, or haven't noticed anywy.

I guess, if you go to the website, you can set your account so they stop sending you all of the junk mail.
I haven't tried it.
Things have slacked off since they didn't get their tape back.

I got this package, and the several regular annoying notices basically saying, "We sent you a package a while back, and if you were a good NRA member you would have paid for it."

Some of the fund raising pisses me off. I got a gun safety video I didn't ask for....I put it with the videos on the Pediatric unit at work. I got a guns of valor tape....don't know what happened to it.
I give when I can, I like thinking I stand a chance on the gun give aways, but the very frequent mail I get pisses me off and I don't like the way some are layed out, it insults me to think that someone thinks some of the ploys will work on me.
That said, it must work or they wouldn't do it, everyone should be a member, I'm glad they're around to keep the shitty mail coming!

I must be the odd man out here.  I actually paid for the tape and about a dozen after that.  Then I called the customer service number and asked for my subscription to be ended.  No nasty bills, no smashed tapes, just extra money sent to the NRA.

Of course then they keep sending me different offers, the last was a book.  I didn't send it back and didn't pay for it.  Now they call me first to see if I'm interested in something.

I got the tape last week, havent watched it yet.
Seemed like I was under no obligation....and guess what....I dont plan to be.

Since I didnt ask for the thing in the first place, I am not investing any of my time trying to get it back to them....and I sure as hell am not paying for it.

I buy my membership, and maintain it regularly. I support several Pro-2A organizations and do my part to keep our guns OURS.

I dont feel the slightest bit guilty about not paying for this tape.
I will throw any correspondance to the effect right in the trash.

Sorry NRA....but this is on the level with door to door sales. I dont like it.

I've got 28 of their tapes. I plan to get them all. They did send me some books which I promptly sent back but I keep the tapes.  My way of contributing to the NRA and actually getting something I want.

I do get tired of the constant mailings asking for money. I throw everything else in the trash immediately.
