Iwent to the range today to break in my new Glock .357 Sig barrel in my Glock 22 and my new Cetme .308 and Mosin Nagant 38.  First I must say I'm happy with the results on all of them.

Glock Barrel- fired 35 rounds of speer lawman 125grain through the extended and ported .357 Sig barrel out of a model Glock 22 no failures.  The barrell is accurate as a drop in, head shots at twenty yards.   It is signifigantly more controllable than my standard .40 S&W barrel, 9mm recoil and liitle or no flip/rise in the muzzle and tight follow ups at 7-10 yards.

The Mosin Nagant- Surprised me it's got a nice kick to it I was not expecting.  Straight shooter, though I need to scope it to really know it's potential though!  Any suggestions on mounts is appreciated.

Cetme .308- First what surprised me was I was told this rifle would be a beast to handle, it would KICK!!!  The rifle with the surplus Nato standard ball had a recoil barly more than my AK.  Shoots well, had one failure out of forty rds.  That was the ammo though, it just failed to fire.  Cleared the chamber and no other problems.  Need to scope it to, any suggestions?  Also is failure in surplus ammo common?  Never had a problem with any in the other weapons I have.

Also fired my CZ-75 and AK worked like clockwork as always.

I prefer my Cetme without a scope. It really depends on the surplus as to whether or not they have failure to fires. I had some crappy Indian stuff that always had a failure or 2 per mag, but everything else has worked great in mine.

Any suggestions on mounts is appreciated.

darryl's. one of the best.

the short rifles (the 38 and 44) can be made to work with a pu type scope and left side receiver mount (drilling/tapping required, stock clearance required), but the stout recoil coupled with eye relief issues make that a second choice behind a darryl's mount.

Interesting that from now on an entire phrase which SHOULD have a specific and particular meaning in the gun owners' lexicon will be forever associated with some, uh, interesting photography posted and then deleted from the greatest coverup in history.

Heh.

Did you happen to notice how far that CETME slung the brass? I would HATE to be shooting from the bench to the right and catch one of those in the head. Mine and a friend's both send them flying out to about 25 feet straight to the right. Pretty aggressive ejection.

I think what people here are referring to is "THE" Range Report.  I have no idea what it is though.

LOL.

From the horses mouth, indeed.

Hey Niceguymr.... have you seen that woman since then?  Has she any idea of the broad appeal of her, ahem, assets?   (This message will be edited by the coverup conspiracy in 2 hours).

Ya, some people need to let go.  Besides, Mrs BRF's thread blew that one away.
