Does anyone know where I could find a list of Class III Friendly states?

You can count Missouri (MO) out.  I live here, it sucks.   What makes me even more fumed is that there is a big dealer of class III and silencers in central Missouri, and they can't even sell to their own residents.

I'd really like to get a silencer for a Ruger MKII/MKIII and my 10/22.

Boston's Gun Bible lists all the states with their respective laws.A good book to have.If no one beats me to it,I'll scan the page on class 3 and send it to you tonight (book is at home).

I can tell you that NY and Iowa are Not!

Can someone answer this question for me?

Missouri (MO)
C&R           // MG
C&R          // SBR
C&R         //  SBS
C&R & Class 3  // silencers
C&R    AOW
C&R    DD

I have a C&R License,  and MO is the only state on there that lists C&R for all of them?  Does this mean I can only possess C&R eligable weapons with those features?

There's such a thing as a C&R silencer?

Believe it or not, but CT is actually pretty Class 3 friendly, we even allow silencers, not even VT allows those.  There is a catch though, for some reason selectfires are illegal so any MG that gives you a choice of Semi-Burst-Full must be converted to Full auto only.

That is bizarre.  I guess in some mind some where this is safer.  (shakes head)

What ever.

Course, I think you can buy lots of beltfeds with this feature.  Not sure as I don't own one but can not imagine why they would have a "semi" option.

no need to stick with beltfeds, you can get any full auto gun here.  MP5's, M16's they just need to be converted to full auto only by a gunsmith.  There are a bunch of people here who did that and are enjoying what people in other Class 3 friendly states have, except they just don't have the option of going Semiautomatic.

You can have any legally registerd MG in Missouri as long as you have some type of FFL.  With that said....a C&R FFL counts as an FFL in the eyes of MO law.

You are NOT limited to C&R MG's...just have to have some type of license.

The Triple Break list is sorta misleading.

So this would mean that if I have my C&R and get a class 3 I can get a silencer for a MKII and 10/22?

Actually it would be easier to list the ones that AREN'T class III friendly.

30 some odd states are class 3 friendly.

You can not add an SOT onto a C+R collectors license.  You can only possess silencers in MO if you are a SOT firearms manuf. or an SOT dealer with PD demo request letters for silencers.

In MO with your C+R collectors license you may buy transferable other NFA except silencers.

Funny you mention Cali.....dont' they have the highest number of guns on the NFA registery?
