Try this, it worked on Mythbusters.

Mix equal parts of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda in a bucket. You can add a little dish soap to make a lather. Pour over the affected area.

Get some "De-Skunk" shampoo.  Usually works good.

The peroxide, baking soda, and dish soap does work, but you might have to wash the dog several times to get all the smell out.

Use the recipe posted above with the peroxide/etc.  It actually works to break up the skunk scent.

Keep that shit out of your eyes and the dog's.  You'll probably have to do a couple of applications on the pooch to get it all out over a couple of days.

I wonder if the Scent Killer spray would help? Its used be hunters to elimate human odors from cloths. You can find it in the hunting section of Wal-Mart or any sporting goods store.

I swear, if I ever get nailed by a skunk,  I'm going to catch the little bastard during his handstand routine and place kick him for a 100 yard field goal.

I smell the leftovers from skunk episodes all the time here in Florida.   I've never SEEN a skunk, but hardly a week goes by when I don't catch a whiff somewhere as I'm driving around.

The danish name for skunk literally translates to STINK ANIMAL

My fiancee laughs out loud at that.

This is true I used this relatively recently. I found out at 2AM that I had NO tomato juice for BOTH my skunked dogs.

BTW - the moment my one dog gets wet, even now from the dosing August of this year, he still gets a bit aromatic! But is a GOOD way!

Edit: needed grammar massage.

Wash dog in diesel fuel.

Then wash dog useing Dawn or Joy dish washing liquid.

Skunk smell ataches to diesel fuel, dish washig liquid will atach to diesel fuel.

Rense dog off smell should be gone.

I have use this procedure when I was trapping. Got sprayed myself

Having two Jack Russell’s, I’ve become somewhat accustom to bathing skunked dogs.  Tomato juice never worked for me.  What I’ve used is just baking soda and hydrogen peroxide.  I never added dish soap to it but it couldn’t hurt.  The bad thing of it is, when the dog(s) get wet again they have a slight smell of skunk.

One thing I noticed may be just coincidence.  Every year the dogs got skunked hard they never had problems with ticks or fleas!

I have had dogs sprayed many times. Tomato juice only rubbs the skunk spray in and makes it harder to get out. This is what I use it works great! www.kingwholesale.com/Shopping/ProductInfo.cfm?Item=5252

The worst thing about the dog getting sprayed is that it only happens at night right before I'm going to bed. I let the dog out so he can do his business and whamo, I'm outside getting a nose full giving the dog a bath.

Natures Miracle Skunk remover. Any pet store sells it and the bottle lasts a long time. Best 10 bucks I have ever spent. Most anything else will still smell like skunk and whatever you tried. This is the best.

When my "boyz" got skunked they came RUNNING into the garage and carried the scent most heavily into the house.  They slept in the house, all pretty stinky. Then I rememebered when we threw big parties and everyone and their mother was smoking, we'd put out soup dishes filled with red wine vinegar diluted with water - maybe 3 water to one vinegar. Washed and refreshed them every day and in 4-5 days the smell was gone. In the garage I also put in a few "Baking Soda" boxes for Refrig/Freezer applications - NO smell at all in less than a week!

Good Luck.
