havn't had any since july. the other night i had a dream i was drinking a mountain dew. |
it's probably one of the reasons for my weight loss too. |
When my wife and I cut out anything but diet pop, we both lost quite a bit of weight. All that sugar just isn't good for you. |

You DO feel better when you get yourself off your caffeine addiction, and YES, caffeine addiction is real. I may still have a Pepsi, but less than one per day on average. I satisfy my thirst and hydration needs during the work week by going to 7-11 and getting a double gulp of orange Gatorade. If I want it a little sweeter, I drop in a pack or two of artificial sweetener. So I get practically no caffeine and very little sugar and still have something that tastes good and keeps me hydrated. If you have ceffeine every day, just try going two weeks with NONE. You will be surprised at the difference it makes to how you feel. CJ |
| Funny, I was at the local library and was looking at the current issue of Consumer Reports, and they have reported that caffiene could be good for you. I forget what exactly were the benefits but it was a shocker. Because for year researchers have been saying the caffiene was of no benefit to you. |
| Caffeine never did keep me up or stimulate me growing up, ever. I could gulp down soda until bedtime and go to sleep. Now that my neck gives me shit, and I always have tension headaches I have to avoid caffeine. Literally, makes me sick. Haven't had it for years. |
Consumer Reports' reviews are for sale to the highest bidder. Whatever company spends the most with Consumer Reports to assist in their operation is the one that gets the best report. I have secondhand knowledge of a person who was contacted by CR regarding his product, which they intended to review, and they simply asked him what kind of review he wanted and told him how much such a review would cost. Given the source, I'm inclined to believe it's true. CJ |
MMM, red bull |
ditto for me, I take a glass of diet pepsi to bed with me while I read... mrgungho on the other hand can't have any caffeine... screws his sleep up, then he's a grouch! |
Me too! At this point I think that caffiene actually makes me sleepy instead of vice versa... |
Do you have a medical condition man? Coffee is the staff of life man. It's the finest thing the Americas have ever produced. |

I have between one and four diet pepsis a day, and usually at least one espresso-based drink during the weekend. I have occasionally gone a day without caffeine. It's not fun when you go to sleep at midnight, wake up at 5 am, every weekday, and have nothing to give you that boost of energy. |
I actually read this and thought... 5 hours is not bad, wished I could get that much. |
