Hilarious.

Actually, given the fascist way in which this administration has been behaving, I'm starting to wonder if the gun nuts were right all along. Stockpiles and militias...good grief.

Wow. Now it's us talking about the "jackboot government thugs."

This is the first thing I'm actually somewhat glad to read from there.

Ah, They'll keep banning guns anyway.  They have no problem breaking the laws if it's for the greater good.

That's how I see it anyway.

I was surprised the first time I checked their “Gun Rights & Gun Control” section; there were at least as many pro-gun people as anti’s.

It seems to me that the “gun control movement” consists of a very small minority of middle-aged, authority-worshiping women who manage to scare the generally ignorant and apathetic populace into half-heartedly supporting them.

DU (at least from my estimation) is largely populated by rebellious, neo-hippie teenagers of the type you would normally see on the streets protesting the WTO or OIF. Unlike the hard-core anti-gun demographic, they don’t consciously worship the .gov’s power and authority like the true anti’s; they just fail to see that the long-term consequence of socialism is “The Road to Serfdom.”

These authority worshipping women have the support of international financing, the UN, and George Soros.

I've concluded that the majority of the pro-gun posters at DU are infiltrators.  I spent six months there and 1800 posts before getting booted.  For the overwhelming majority of DUers, gun rights are off the radar.  They don't even think about it, much less discuss it.  There are some rabid anti-gun nuts, and I'm fairly sure they're mostly infiltrators too.

I had maybe a dozen actually entertaining discussions with the "reasonable regulation" supporters, though, that I'm sure are your basic Statist dems - because that's the limit of their thoughts on the matter:  "Reasonable Regulation."

Can't define it, can't really discuss it, can't argue about it, but "reasonable regulation" is (to them) obviously OK and non-threatening.

It's much like this:

When they finally booted me, I'd had enough anyway.  It was no longer a learning experience.

Well, I think that they think that THEIR government would never need to be overthrown, but OUR government would.

You got booted because someone REALLY wanted you gone.  You must have made an impact!

IIRC, someone found an editorial written by a Kevin Baker about the Florida recount, and decided YOU didn't belong on THEIR board.  Apparently you were making them uncomfortable.

That is correct, sir!  Damn, you've got a good memory!  I had the "honor" of getting booted by Skinner, the moonbat that runs the place, too.

Right after one of the moderators told me that, while she disagreed "violently" with most of my positions, I "made her think" and that was a good thing.

Thinking is obviously not encouraged there.

Hey, it was a "target-rich environment."  So long as you don't say anything supportive of Republicans, denigrating towards Democrats, and aren't too insulting towards other posters, they will leave you pretty much alone.

Which is why somebody had to find this piece to prove I was an evil "disruptor!"

I wouldn't get your hopes up about DU too much. I just happened over there today and saw a thread where they were arguing about what the 2nd means. There were a lot of people supporting the 2nd, but there was a guy MrBenchly I think that was totally against it. It baffled me to listen to this numbskull's arguments. He just wouldnt' listen. The guy was either dumber thana rock or an infiltrator just trying to get in good.

This is the thread (leave cold)

Well, they were right weren't they?

You were caught trying to disrupt their little circle jerk, dreamland, drug-addled, fantasy!

I wasted post 6000 making fun of DU!

Why in the name of OPSEC would someone that wanted to troll DUhland for protracted period use anything that would point to their real ID?

I think the one forum over there that is mostly gun discussions is mainly undercover people from arfcom and other gun boards and every once in a while one of the antis from the normal du forums goes in and says guns are evil then the undercover gun nuts go back to discussngs guns while trying not to blow their cover

These authority worshipping women do not worship authority. They see guns as a symbol of the patriarchal male society, and they reject guns...as they reject shaving the gray hair off their legs.
