| Why do we have to pay to go and buy stuff at gun shows? |
| It's called capitalism, the promoters need to pay for the site and make some duckets on top of that , if the show was free to the public then the vendors would have to carry the full load and the table prices would probably stop alot of the smaller dealers from going. The internet is better for 99% of your buying ,but there's just something special about getting up early on a saturday morning, picking up some friends, and spending the day looking at weapons and talking with the older ,wiser, and perpetually pissed off versions of ourselves that seem to only be found at gunshows and old school gun shops. When I was growing up I longed for the day that I could claim one of the hallowed stools at the gun store, drinking Colt .45's ,bitching about the damm gummint, and doing some serious shit talking have |
Of course its called the free interprise system and me the customer has every right to complain, I am not suggesting the government step in and tell them not to charge me. I am only disagreing with them charging me to go shopping. That is the free enterprise system at its best. |
