I thought the general discussion was the same as google

I did google it but -not really sure specifically.
I remember hearing new comintators speculating that GW won on Nov 2, because  . . .  . . .  one of the reasons was blogs ?
just not really sure how that affected the election ??

Basically, it allowed additional avenues of communication.  Big, nationally-known blogs, such as Instapundit, were able to get information out to people during the election cycle that would have been overlooked or buried by the mainstream media.  By archiving that info on the web, many thousands of people were able to get to that information and could then make more informed decisions.

Blogs are not the only source for this on the Internet, but their popularity is fairly new in the world of politics, as there were many fewer Blogs and Blog readers 4 years ago.  Several of them have gained national recognition since 2000.  Keep in mind that DrudgeReport was originally more-or-less a blog, started by one guy at home.  It made Matt Drudge a household name, and made his site one of the Top 10 political news sites in the country.

A total waste of time.  Thousands of losers sitting around reading thousands of other losers who haven't been outside in three weeks and then all commenting and picking each other apart over it.  Petty name calling girlie-man cat fights about who referenced whom in who's blog.

Just think millions of people you wouldn't take directions from hiding behind a nice template and giving advice and commentary.

just stay are arfcom,  at least us losers talk about interesting stuff.....

heres one of those looser blogs you are talking about www.georgewbush.com/blog/

Blogs are the new media.  Blogs will, in the future, be the checks and balences for the world of mass media.  The dissemination of information is changing... for the better.
