Did anyone see the Battle Planning eppisode where they showed a video clip of a marine with a M4 rifle and M203 Grenade Launcher? The interesting thing was that the carry handle was on the left side of the rifle 90 degrees where it would usually be on top. It was not on the forward grip area. It was actually mounted on the upper reciever part. I was wondering why it was like that.

Bingo, it is just a convenient place for soldiers to put the carrying handles when they had other sights mounted.

Nope it was a standard carry handle. How do they mount it on the reciever like that?

The handles are rail mountable and removable, not like the earlier versions of the weapon where it was integral to the receiver.  They just put them on a convenient rail.

Sure they could, if they had them.  Uncle Sam buys M4s and M16A4s with carry handles, not with aftermarket BUISs.

I actually like that show.  My friend keeps telling me about one where the hit Hunter with a flashbang and messed him up pretty good.  I gotta see that one.
