[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Computer Gurus - need your input.

I went to a website searching for lyrics and the "Intelligent Explorer" toolbar installed itself on my work puter. It won't let me unistall and websense mentions a virus as a reason why. Not to mention it logged me out of arfcom....so i'll be changing the password as soon as I get home.

I've got virus scan running right now. But any other advice you can give me to get this damn thing off the puter??

It this wont get it off but you will have less problems with stuff like that.

google and download spybot search & destroy and adaware...both free.

Install and run these to remove the bad things.

Load BOTH:

Adaware - that should probably take it off

Spybot

Usually - these two will get rid of MOST hitchhikers on any PC

You need to run both to be sure.
