| Would you spend on toys before letting your wife/GF know in advance that you were about to spend. |

My limit is three hundred before I tell the wife. ETA: That question will depend on the economic situation of the person. For me right now three hundred is a lot of money, a couple of years ago it wasn't. For some people who are more finacially secure they could probably spend fifteen hundred and it not be considered an expensive jpurchase. That should be the real limit before discussing it with you signiicant other, is whatevery the two of you have decided is an acceptable limit for an impulse purchase. Last show I went to I picked up a MAC 11/9 for less than two hundred, I didn't even think twice about it, but I looked at another gun that was five, and I was considering calling home and seeing if we could afford it. |

Man, am I glad I don't have that problem. Been divorced for 19 years and loving a free life. NOW I HAVE MONEY IN MY POCKET !! House almost paid for. A F250 Superduty and a BMW in the garage. ALL PAID FOR! Next, I'll pay off my 26' Artic Fox travel trailer. It's on '04 I had custom built for hunting trips. And I just built a CAR 15 with all kinds of cool stuff on it. Cost me almost $2K ! Because I can. And I'm paying for my sons collage education & his '02 Ford truck out of pocket. And I'm just a telephone tech ! Never a lack of ladies either. Get smart, get established in life befor you get serious with some woman. |
Depends on your situation. When my wife and I first got married we kept our finances very seperate. So as long as I was paying my half of the bills and ponying up my fair share into saving, the rest was none of her business. Sometimes I would spend $800 a week. Sometimes nothing. Now finances are a bit more complicated so we've combined. As long as it's not wreckless I still do what I want, no asking permission. As long as it comes from my earnings and not hers how can she complain? Asking your wife to spend your own money is stupid. Unless you're dipping into an account you both have money in or taking her money....why ask? |
