That is the problem. All the "name" republicans are pretty fucking liberal. Maybe Frist? Fred Thompson? (That would be nice!) Tom Delay would get his ass kicked. Powell is too liberal. Rice would be a good VEEP pick, not enough experience for President. Don't trust McCain. Guillini is the most winnable, hell, he will deliver New York, but the guy isn't much of a conservative. Last thing we need is a RINO appointing judges. |

I will tell you right now that if Cheney gets the Republican nomination in '08, I will donate a minimum of $2500 to his campaign, if I have to sell plasma to do it. One of you guys remind me of this pledge if that grand day should come to pass. If I haven't done so already by then, Giuliani running for the nomination will cause me to register Republican to try to thwart his run. He is not our friend. He did a fine job for NY and the country (at least symbolically) after 9/11, but he's a big-government gun grabber who would be a disaster for the country. I'd probably give Rudy a kidney, but I wouldn't vote for him unless I had no other choice. |
Cheney can't run...health/heart problems too big a factor, imho. If the Dems are stupid enough to run Hillary, they haven't learned a thing from 2004....her negatives, even among Democrats, are still way too big, and she sure can't pass herself off as a "hunter" to try and fool people in places like Ohio, Penn., WV, etc. Fred Thompson would be a good choice...that voice alone would win 2/3 of the country. I don't have a clue who the Dems might run...just look at the unelectable idiots they had in the primary season this year. SOMEONE has to pull that party back to the center if they have any hope of getting back in the game. Hillary is certainly not the person for that. At this point, I wouldn't have a clue. But here's a helpful hint to them...make sure it's NOT an ultra liberal, lying, traitoress, gun grabbing, gay marriage supporting fucktard from MASSACHUSSETTS!! Well, not unless you want Republicans cake walking back into the WH in 08, that is. |
