LaBarbera said the Illinois Republican Party was so anti-Keyes that it left him off of a statewide mailer promoting the party's candidates.

'just goes to show:  Given a choice between someone who tells it like it is and does the right thing, and someone who tells people what they want to hear, they will choose the latter.

My wife and I both voted for Keyes, but we knew Obama would take it. I have no explenation as to why. Hell, we even saw a sigh with a GWB sign in the yard and a Obama sign next to it

Hell, Fitzgerald was a RINO anyway, he voted for the "AW ban".

Arrghhhhh......

It is Illinois! This state is no better than California and New York. The Dems here are in greater control of this state than in California and New York. The Republican party here is all but dead and we all know it. It will be a VERY long time before the republicans can even mount credible candidates. So in terms of contributing to a Republican/political right agenda just write Illinois off.
