My friend was wondering what to get his sister for graduating dental assistance school ..
Now keep in mind this is actually a big accomplishment for her . She is 22 a single mother and did not graduate high school and decided one day she needs some education so she did this all on her own and no help from public assistance or anything ..

He wants to get her something nice and I would like to her something as well...

I dont know what women like? or need

and she doesnt like guns

+1.  A nicely sized check, and maybe a nice dinner out.

Clothes would be good, but being in the health field, she'll be wearing scrubs.   A nice watch maybe?  Engraved?

Other than cash- does she have a computer? Finding one in your price range- even used with a 56k modem- just to web surf and email- a great thing.

Gift certificates are sometimes better than cash, the problem with cash is she may not  treat herself to anything with it, but use it to pay bills or some such.
