What an absolute total nightmare. (Page 1 of 3)

| Yesterday my wife's niece married her long time boyfriend. They had two kids together, ages 5 and 3. Around 8:30 last night the grooms mother gathered up the kids to take them home, but never made it. They were found this morning around 7:00 just off a boat ramp, all still strapped in. What a shitshow. |

The "still strapped in" bit is concerning. It takes a while for a vehicle to sink, so not making any attempt to extract them is kind of a red flag. She had time to make choices. |

Sudden, unexpected events can (and usually do) have serious and frequently fatal consequences that most people are overwhelming unprepared for. The fact (if true) that all were secured in the vehicle when found indicates that this was sudden and (in my opinion, without knowing any other details) a tragic accident. Cars can become submerged very quickly (based on water depth, ramp angle, speed at leaving the roadway). I pray for the families involved and will withhold further speculation until the results of the forensic investigation. |
