That is a very serious point, that those even thinking about voting D, (or should I say DSA?) need to understand. If throwing a childish tantrum and deciding to "punish the R's" by voting in those imbeciles, is more important to you than the stability of our Country - the results will be catastrophic.

The old saying -You can vote in Socialism, but you are not getting out of it, without a Gun - are appropriate here. Even if you only look at a single issue, "Open Borders" have been an absolute disaster for this Country. Seeing as how these are low fruit, entitlement "D" votes/voters, you can bet that the door/border will be flung wide open again as soon as the D/DSA come to power. That debacle has been one of the worst things to happen in/to our Country - in my lifetime.

That alone, would be disastrous for the United States of America. Do you really want your children growing up, or being in, a 3rd World shit-hole? Really?

Unfortunately, we are reaching the tipping point, where there are more "Entitlement Voter's," than those who have morals, ethics, pride, choose to work and improve not only their own situation, but that of our Country.

It is a sad state of affairs.

I've said this before, but I believe it bears repeating - I do not believe thing's will start (in the Nuclear sense) by a "missile flying." I believe that the far more likely scenario, is one similiar to "The Sum of All Fears," plotline. (If you have for some reason, not seen this film, you need to)

It will be a low yield device - that will be smuggled into our Country via one of all the massive incoming Trans-World shipments that we receive daily. Yes, we have safeguards in place. Are they infallible? No - I do not believe that they are. We have to be right 100% of the time, every single time, every single day. "They" only have to get lucky - One Single Time.

This "low tech" approach, to getting a weapon into this Country and subsequently detonating it, scares me far more than any incoming missile threat.

Your View May Differ.

I'm not saying you shouldn't have critiques or criticisms or that you have to vote for anyone in particular next time.   I'm saying it is more clear than ever in my lifetime that one side is imperfect and the other side wants you dead, they want your loved ones dead, they want you gone and forgotten because you wouldn't submit.

No sane person sees a choice at all.  I'm not telling you not to wish for better, or to demand more from our government. I'm saying being mad about broken promises is sane, voting for the current incarnation of democrats as some form of punishment or retribution because your mad, isn't a rational choice.   You don't like that things aren't better, so you're voting to make them dramatically, catastrophically worse.

Dems are all about lying this time around. I know that seems a little on the nose, but they are so radical now that even they recognize that the American voter won't go for it. So they are hiding the real goals from voters completely.  They will run as moderates, and immediately change course after the election. And the goal is to never have to work for an election again, this whole republic thing is a giant PITA.

Open borders, non citizen voting, mail in ballots, extended time lines and generous rules.  All designed to stack the deck so hard that they can't lose, and therefor don't have any accountability....ever.

A big part of that is taking the guns, because we aren't going to like what they have in mind.

It's Ok to be angry at republicans, it's OK for people like us to disagree on things. But I don't want you dead because you disagree.  One ideology wants to be left alone, one wants complete cultural and political domination.

Only one of those is compatible with freedom and liberty.

I think we have a better choice of potential candidates this time around, with Rubio, Vance, DeSantis, et al. (I also think that DeSantis with his proven track record in Florida, is a stronger candidate, this time around, not much was known about him at the time) I think the process, is going to be far more competitive this time, resulting in a better over-all candidate in the General Election. The three names I mentioned above - have far more of a track-record and experience to offer, than last time. That experience is a good thing, it is good for the Party and subsequently, us.

I also believe that people are going to be paying more attention to, and involved in those very same Primaries - because they realize the importance of getting a strong candidate in the General Election. Competition is a good thing.

I think it would be a disaster of epic proportions, for the DSA's (seemingly the majority of D's now) agenda to come to power in our Country. We can not survive another 4-8 years of "Open Borders" alone, much less the other priorities they will bring to the forefront.

May God be with us.

Everything else? Trump is Trump. I take him seriously but almost never literally, and start with the assumption that if it pisses off the left it has a good chance of being a distraction/feint anyhow.

In my opinion, Trump's legacy isn't really knowable until Iran is resolved. I think he's going to end up coming out of this smelling like a rose overall, it's just going to take more time and economic pain than expected.

Gun rights are going great. Ukraine is looking up. Our hemisphere is all but wrapped up with a bow on it. China is flirting with serious economic issues, and aren't in a strong position to handle it.

The world is changing, and so is our role in it. Trump is doing an excellent job in positioning us to have a chokehold on the energy economy, and forcing Europe to take ownership of their own defense. Hell, we're making the Saudis handle their house, too.

In short, a lot of things aren't where I wish they were, but we're on the right track for the first time in my adult life. Importantly, even if I disagreed with his aims, in the middle of it is not the time to change course. We must see this through, regardless of whatever rise happens. The last thing we want is an emboldened Iran that's seen as the regional power. It's worth a lot of expensive gas to prevent that.

Voted for Trump at every opportunity except the 2016 primary (Cruz voter). He has seriously fucked things up with in terms of energy independence/stability and foreign affairs. He needs to make nice-nice with Rex Tillerson (which he won't because ego) and get him back on the train to straighten out the oil exploration, production and supply issues we have. We're just a few months away from losing the ability to do anything legislatively. Yes, credit goes to Trump for his aggressive posture on illegal immigration, border enforcement, for *some ATF reform, and appointing some *overall good Supreme Court justices.

I understand that. What I'm simply getting at here is that you don't want the "swing voters" to decide to give the reigns of power to the suicide cult, & you can't screw up a campaign that requires real commitment. We've already spent ourselves in the ME, & the public doesn't have a stomach for another drawn out campaign. This needed to be over & done with PDQ, & after getting hosed by the Biden regime, the public was looking for relief. The issue of affordability is made worse by oil supply restrictions, & everyone knows Urgent Fury is the reason for the spike in fuel costs. Call them "weak" for not wanting to tolerate it, but most people probably never wanted the administration to get bogged in another war, & in fact, Trump campaigned against doing so. Oh well. But if you're going turn around & do it, you can maybe be quick about it so it doesn't break the national patience. If it's possible, which it doesn't seem to the case here with Iran. Or else, you get shellacked in the mids & the gender confused take the wheel. This was the risk with this decision. Some decisions, you can't get wrong. You just can't. And so the administration, & by association, the party, has to own this one.

If government goes too far off into the weeds, it's not going to find the road again. This next time around, it's going to be for all the marbles. And no one is coming to save you.

Europe, Canada, China, India...the ME...they are all relationships based on what we can get from each other.  That's how it works.

The notion that the US was lead into a war by Israel is horseshit.  Trump told Bibi to sit down and shut the fuck up multiple times....in diplomatic speak, in public.  Bibi isn't running anything. He does what Trump tells him to do where it effects the US.   Israel will also do what it feels it must to protect itself, and they won't apologize for that.

The Israel hate is a strong leftist agenda that is being pushed harder than anything I've seen since Russia gate. The JE stuff feeds into that as well.  You can't convince people they are being mislead.  It's impossible.

Israel is an ally of convenience, they aren't loyal, they aren't friends, they are friendly until it doesn't serve their purpose, welcome to the big world. Every nation is like that.

I mean if we weren’t restricted so much in drilling, Greenfield refining projects, etc i might agree but the uptick I posted the exact yoy numbers and it’s more capacity restraint from rusting infrastructure.  Not to mention a lot of other decent refineries collapsed with VZ and the like and oh so many Cali refineries have peaced out, our ability to deal with refined product demand spikes is in fact a capacity problem.

Trump should have already replaced Thomas & Alito while he had the opportunity - they are both outstanding die hard conservative justices. But they are also both the oldest two justices & if one (or both) should leave the Court (voluntary or by death), it will be impossible to replace them with Conservative Justices if the Democrats take the Senate.

Trump may have "RBG'ed" two SCOTUS Appointments to the Democrats.

Because we can't agree on what our perfect politician looks like.   If we ever had the chance to vote for one that we all agreed on, I would take it as a sign of the apocalypse.

Concur.

I frequently post the same:  Trump is not perfect, therefore 87% of us hate him regardless of any/all good he has done.

Let me know when your perfect candidate runs…and I’ll vote for them.
I wanted a mission, and for my sins, they gave me one.

Losing faith is kinda like going broke, it happens gradually, then all at once.

Seems OP's faith in POTUS has reached its breaking point, and when that happens, it often feels like the whole world should have experienced the same thing.

You thing the midterm elections are not political? Urgent Fury should've been a coup de gras, not a squib.  Execution matters. The regime is still in power, & if the legislature gets turned in November, then watch for Iran & China to up their timetables. Not how it should've been.

Nothing about that presidential proclaimation has anything to do with stemming the inflows from H1b mills in foreign countries. It is a feel good measure at best

Imagine if a true crisis actually hit this country.

Fuel prices control all prices.

Glad we’ll have cheap stuff with king newsome and queen AOC
