Quoted: Quoted: There's two bills AB35 and SB52. Senate votes on AB35 Assembly votes on SB52 Davis need to sign these into law. and do you doubt that will happen?? Our only chance is to Blitz Davis with calls/emails/faxes. This might work. He agreed not to sign in new laws for 2k not 2001. |

Quoted: Senate votes on AB35 Assembly votes on SB52 ??? Why is it named "AB" if Senate votes on it? Shouldn't it be "SB" as an acronym for "Senate Bill"? Just asking, I don't understand those communist voting system down there... -[blue]ChaZ[/blue] It was my impression that each group must approve the other's bills. Or maybe I just made it up because it sounds like a good idea [:D] |
| And they are going to keep kicking ass until everyone stops giving to gun reactive groups and spends it on proactive kick-ass lawyers to file suit against state, local and fed gov't for violating our Constitutional rights. If we don't take it back soon, we will never get it back. Win or lose, at least you know where you stand, and I prefer that to letting them chip away until all rights are gone. This is why I did not move to CT. for a job relocation offer. |

www.uniontrib.com/news/uniontrib/wed/news/news_1n6guns.html Gun bill headed for Assembly battle By James P. Sweeney COPLEY NEWS SERVICE June 6, 2001 SACRAMENTO -- Democrats muscled a controversial handgun-licensing measure to the Assembly floor yesterday by adding additional supporters to a committee that narrowly rejected it last week. Without further debate, the reconfigured Appropriations Committee approved the legislation by Assemblyman Kevin Shelley, D-San Francisco, by a bare majority. Does this bother anyone else? From what I understand they booted off one of their own democrats from the committee who previously voted "no" and then arbitrarily added members until they got enough "yes" votes to get it to the assembly floor. Why the hell even bother with the legislative process anymore? |
