I'm probably going to get another one or two so I can get original barrels.

Unfortunately, I'm tarded and didn't fucking order flats from RTG, and now they're sold out. Anyone got a line on them?

Build one on a 3d printed receiver.

Yes, that's a thing.

At that price its worth it to chop up the furniture for an mp5 clone sbr....

Or

If I have next to no ability or tools can I just buy a complete receiver and slap this together?

I'm aware of the 3D printed receivers, and I'm even planning on 3D printing the bending jig.

But I like collecting guns in as close to military configuration as possible.

Well I’m still sitting on one I got a couple years ago. If any of you are local-ish and wanna teach me how to weld, I travel with bourbon.

@jag2955

I need some receivers to get my 2 built. I have not looked into it as of late.

Yeah, we talked about it.

But I haz no receivers at all right meow. There's some PTR/HK flats floating around, which would work, but I want the proper CETME flat sided magwell.

Suppose these were in stock.

Is the rest of the rifle simply screw in place? Or does it require machining and welding?

Yes, welding is required. That's what ToTheMax is for.

Got one from Centerfire and its excellent, despite the patina the bore looks new, I even managed to demil it without ruining it

I was too slow to get the proper flat, now I'm tempted to grab a FMP kit to build off this one while I wait for the CETME flats to come back in stock.

The barrel trunnion, cocking tube, and rear sight will need to be welded in to/on to the receiver. The trigger pack would need to be modified to fit that receiver.

Damn, this is very tempting if these aren't beat-to-shit guns out of Africa. I've been holding out on G3 kits with populated barrels, but I may have to jump on one of these.
