Not a tack driver.  Fun to shoot.  Reliable.

Why not just get an AK?

I have a Mini-14 and an AR-15. I like them both. They are different guns for different uses.
I would never part with either.

How about when Ruger came out with that policy that didn't let their employees ride motorcycles because they were too dangerous.

And that affects Americans how?

EVERY company has some kind policy you may not like. Simple solution.......Dont work there. They are not forcing you to not drive a motorcycle to work.

hes talking anytime even your own time.its none of ther business.I can see if he got a break on insurance not covering you when riding but it means your fired if caught

they are good guns. you certainly dont have the accuracy or the ability to accessorize nearly as much but you can abuse them a bit more. throw it in the back of the truck, feed it any .223 ammo in existance. its not like it can get any LESS accurate.

If you already have a semi-auto .223 that will shoot 3 MOA, why would you want another semi auto 223 that shoots 8 MOA? Hell, a kimber .45 will do that.  For what you spent you probably could have bought a used "post ban" AR.  That said, The Mini 14 is a good looking rifle.  If it makes you happy, then that is reason enough to own it.

I have a couple of minis and I personally think they are great little rifles.  They eat anything and as long as you thoroughly test out your mags, you should have no issues.  BTW, I have nothing but good things to say about the PMI 30 rndrs.

All mine are SS with standard fact stocks.  One has a an old 3X9 Redfield on it.  One has an ACOG and the other two have AO sights.

Harder to squeeze accuracy out of the mini than a AR though.

Some Mini 14 Rifles are accurate. I own one of the early ones and it shoots very well. I have ran a bunch of rounds thru it. I gave it to my son for a present. He really likes it.
