I’m halfway to 5,000 posts. According to my trusty calculator, if I had a PC that could connect to the Internet 24/7 instead of just at work (plus a few at the local library), I would now be closing on 6,000 posts. Look out Eric The(DayShift)Hun, I’m coming straight for ya! Giggle(WorkingMan)Smith. That being over, what should my Topic for post 3,000 be? I have three hours left in tonight’s shift and I’m tired. |

You just gave me a better idea. A theseisisisisisis…A paper on whether it was nobler to be a member of the Boys From Vincenza (I’m a former 509er. They may be at Fort Puke, I mean Polk now, but they’re still my alumni) and never an 82nd Assorted A$$hole. Or whether it is nobler to be a member of the 173rd and never a 509er. When I was at Vincenza, I had to wear the shoulder patch of SETAF, the 509 being a battalion size. And then they renamed it and then moved it to Fort Polk where they got they name back. But the New Dudes in town are two battalions strong and over the 500 man minimum for Unit patches. By the way, what did you guys take the news that another American unit, OTHER than the 82nd made that parachute assault last year? From what I’ve heard, you guys didn’t need “War Paint” to get green faces.
