fucking 20 pages on who you would have fought for in the civil war more than that for BOTD even more for fucking zombie threads but i get 3 responses to my thread about an injured 1st cav soldier and ALL because i pointed the thread out and asked them specifically to contribute  i started this thread because i THOUGHT i knew arfcom, i was gonna print the thread out and give it to the family but gee, i guess not im so fucking mad at you sonsofbitches right now i cant even see straight |

Tex, some of us...you might call us the 'praying types'....don't always feel the need to tell you we read your post, and will be taking the appropriate steps. If someone personally asks for prayers....I realize that it helps for them to KNOW that someone took the trouble to respond with 'prayers sent' or something. And I honestly hadn't even read your thread yet...been reading another long one for a while now. Calm down, man....if it's any consolation, if he's a soldier, I was planning on praying for him anyway. I do so every night. |

I visit from time to time, but it's not really all that fun a place. Just a bunch of pissing matches. Nothing really constructive. I'm not the one arbitrarily locking threads abd censorsing free speech here. Go rip them, not me. I IBTL cuz your in violation of the COC. Nothing wrong with calling it like it is... What begins as a simple question ALWAYS ends that way. That's the way it is, and has always been with "Civil War" threads. Start from the beginning, and soon enough you'll see people begin insinuating that other people's ancestors behaved in a way that was less than honorable. Some people take exception to that. Any assumption that one side was "right" makes the other side wrong. It always happens. Backs go up. Words fly. |

what pissed me off about the whole thing is that i started a thread about a soldier really hurt in battle, not john kerry hurt, REALLY hurt it would have been on page 3 without a response but i posted 3 times and enlisted the help of a few others to BTT it those were the ONLY responses it got to start with HOWEVER, i start THIS thread and it was on 2 pages in under 10 minutes

You know, when anyone posts news like this, ask for a tack. In addition, don't expect everyone to post "prayers sent". Alot of folks like myself, pause and reflect and pray and feel no need to post "I did it". Remember the bible passage about the hipocrites? Bottom line, ask for a tack with important news like this and keep your rant to yourself, as it doens't accomplish anything. |

look.......................i get the privately reflecting thing............................but im not new on arfcom if somebody posted a "prayers needed, my dog has cancer" it would NOT have been on the back burner straight away i really don't know what the deal was here, but i was absolutely CERTAIN, that ARFCOM would give me something to send the family that WASN'T me posting for 3 pages by myself and with the tack it looks like i will have something to present to brians (big hat from gunstock) wife and her family and im grateful for that but honestly, there is something inherently wrong with it needing tack to get a single response i love my arfcom family, even the assholes and head cases (like sarge ) but on this one, the ball got dropped and i feel i was understandably pissed |
TexRdnec, First let me say thanx for being a member. Secondly, I don't live on the computer like others here, so please excuse me for not seeing your thread. (Not that I have any reason to apologise). Lastly, let me say that if you want attention, this is not the way to do it. Instead of cursing everyone out, why don't you just Btt your original thread and look at how many people viewed it. Not everyone posts in every thread, nor replys. (In the case of BOTD thread, well...boys wil be boys... ) |

Frankly Tx i think you over reacted a bit. You waited a whole 19 minutes before you started this bitchfest. Mods take awhile at times to tack stuff. And alot of people where probably reading threads father down then page 3. I for a fact didn't see it since I was going through threads on pages farther back. |
