I was thinking of getting a camo kit at the local farm supply store to cover up the ugliness of my recent ar build... I ended up with a purple Larue 7.0 rail, a flat black LMT upper and a greyish-black Bushie lower...the frankengun in this baby really shows through...what's the best way to cover the ugly that doesn't involve removing the rails? Ideas? |

crayon won't stick and I hate pink i don't want to ship the gun anywhere cause I don't want it to be nonfunctional or inaccessible any more than it has and besides, after the build, i can't afford to have it refinished by a pro i can't park it without disassembly, right? I just got it together, no more disassembly please!! I can email a pic if someone'll host n post it eta: don't know if I pic would really show the color differential as much as it shows "in the flesh" edited again to add: oh yeah, I forgot about the OD stock |
Or just go to tinypic.com and upload it . |
Sounds like a hell of a rifle to me. |
fantastic article.... I dunno about any finish that I need to cure in the oven tho... I'm not too thrilled about the idea of having to take that Magpul stock off since then I hafta get it back on |

Is this timely or what? From an earlier post: www.optactical.com/weaponpainting.html |
hmmm that's what I was getting at really... the camo kit is a temp paint that you can take off if you want... probably the most practical suggestion is to get some magpul panels should I go green to match the stock or black? I'd prefer all black but with the OD stock it's a little late for that. I wondered how long until someone noticed that crappy USA mag.... I have two if those crappy things and I paid WAY too much for em since it was before I discovered arfcom...waiting to find a good deal on some Labelle's p.s. thanks for all the compliments guys, I feel like part of the family!! |
