All for supplies that "some people" will steal.

Can't bring himself to say who took the food aid.  "Some people.."

The United States said that no humanitarian aid from the US-constructed temporary pier in the central Gaza Strip has reached the broader Palestinian population.. Link
Pentagon spokesperson Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder said on May 21 that the pier has facilitated the delivery of 569 metric tons of humanitarian aid. The United States, United Kingdom, United Arab Emierates, European Union and other unspecified US partners have donated the aid.

Ryder said that unspecified people or agencies still need to distribute the aid, which has so far only been delivered to the shore. Palestinians intercepted trucks delivering aid from the pier over the weekend which led the UN to suspend delivery operations.

Ryder said that the United States and the UN are working to establish ”alternative routes” for the safe delivery of the aid. US officials previously hoped that the pier would process about 90 trucks of aid per day, later raising the number to 150.

Whoops! Someone didn't pay attention to the local tide charts. As long as the tides to swell too much they should be able to be refloated/dragged off the beach at high tide.

Yeah, they get used more often, but all the wartime reserve capacity is in the USAR.

Biden probably has a reverse D Day in mind for that pier. Where the enemy storms the beach, gets into our landing craft, then is taken to the US to invade

TAMPA, Fla. – This morning (Gaza time), four U.S. Army vessels supporting the maritime humanitarian aid mission in Gaza were affected by heavy sea states.

The vessels broke free from their moorings and two vessels are now anchored on the beach near the pier. The third and fourth vessels are beached on the coast of Israel near Ashkelon. Efforts to recover the vessels are under way with assistance from the Israeli Navy.

The IDF is supporting the recovery efforts near the pier. No U.S. personnel will enter Gaza. No injuries have been reported and the pier remains fully functional. We will release additional details as they become available.

Yeah, the first one is clearly fucked, but the other looks pretty normal.
But why are they using landing craft anyways?  There something wrong with the pier we just paid to build?

Also, WTF is that semi-sunk one?  Seems a little dinky.

What a giant boondoggle.
We could have fed everyone in Gaza (if that was the actual goal) by simply putting diplomatic pressure on Egypt. Better still, given that $300 mil to Egypt or Jordan to set up refugee camps (for starving women and children only) in their countries. The US military needs to get away, and stay far away from Gaza.

Oh, I'm well aware of the cuts and neglect some communities receive. I enlisted in '88 survived the Clinton Draw Downs, deployed to Iraq in the early days of OIF... Besides my work in the Amphib community I also did a tour at a Helicopter Mine Sweeping Squadron (HM-14) immediately after DS/DS. HELMINERON 14 actually had a Detachment on the USS Tripoli when she struck a mine.

If the aid is not reaching the Palestinian infiltrators, I am guessing there is more going on here. Maybe these are weapon shipments disguised as aid, which the Israelis get to intercept and use it on the terrorists.

The Army has plenty of landing craft.  Different mission, the Navy's mission is to put assault craft and Marines ashore to take territory.

Yeah you're probably right. Looking back into it they were talking about prior to/during WWII. Then later I know for a fact a Drill Sergeant told me the same was still true, then again they say a lot of shit that ain't. But my stat on the Army v Marine Pacific participation is true at least.
